At MAPA SCIO, our mission is to build bridges of understanding, friendship, and shared joy between Polish and Scottish communities throughout the Scottish Borders and central belt. On June 2nd 2024, our hearts were full as we welcomed families to a spectacular Children’s Day celebration—a day alive with laughter, vibrant attractions, and unforgettable memories. With nearly 3,000 attendees last year, the event blossomed into a beautiful mosaic of cultures, with smiling children at its heart. We were honoured by the presence of remarkable guests including Professor Jerzy Bralczyk, Dr. Tomasz Rożek from Nauka. To Lubię, Dr. Aneta Nott-Bower from Bilingual House, and Deputy Minister Joanna Mucha—each of them bringing wisdom, warmth, and inspiration to the day.
This celebration would not have been possible without the invaluable support of our partners and friends across Scotland. We are deeply grateful to the Scottish Borders Council, the Barony Castle Hotel, and a host of incredible Scottish organizations whose belief in our mission brings it to life year after year. Especially Barony Castle Hotel requires a shout out from us for being a very closer partner and supporter of our cause.
